Designed especially for “expecting” techs and doctors, the Maternity panel is a separate added panel to protect the critical areas.
Designed as a “one size fits all” with plenty of room for expansion. For pregnancy, it is recommended that you have full coverage (front and back) but not required.
In most states you are required to have 1.00mm to cover the critical area, this is accomplished by adding a pregnancy panel under the standard apron.

The apron has three types of Lead protection inner materials the standard lead rubber, Lightweight lead blend, and a lead-free option that all come with the same Protection levels .35 or .50mm Pb. The outer material is made of Three standard materials Nylon, Polytran, or Steritouch material in a multitude of colors and patterns.. Doctors and physicists in medicine use these protective garments in all x-ray situations, regardless of the amount of radiation. Lead aprons are highly recommended by industry scholars from all backgrounds, including those from the American Association of Physicists.
In addition to standard x-ray aprons, we carry a lightweight lead blend and a lead-free apron. These less common options fulfill the needs of patient care technicians and medical care providers in a wide array of situations. Also, standard lead aprons contain 100% lead rubber, making these the heaviest ray protection aprons we offer. Lighter lead blend and non-lead aprons are typically more costly but offer the same protection levels. They tend to be significantly lighter than a similar lead apron. Since they are lighter they help reduce fatigue and upper back stress. This makes them especially suitable for interventional radiology or operating room procedures.
