Bifocal Safety Glasses
Bifocal Safety Glasses, also known as Safety Readers or “Cheaters,” feature safety lenses with magnifiers (bifocals) molded directly into the lens, rather than the full lens magnification provided by standard prescription safety glasses. Ideal for anyone with a need for impact eye protection and reading glasses, Safety Readers give you the protection you need, without the hassle, and danger, of having to change out your glasses mid-project.
All of our frames listed below are available in multiple diopters (strengths), ranging from +1.00 to +3.00, depending on the brand and model. They feature polycarbonate lenses, are ANSI Z87.1-2015 certified, provide 99.9% UVA-UVB protection, and several models are available with tinted lenses and anti-scratch coating.
Until now you have only been able to get traditional style reading safety glasses, or stick on lenses. These bifocal safety glasses with a dual curvature mono-lens and integrated side shields. When you reach the point of not being able to read up close without stretching your arms to the limit, you may need to consider single-vision reading glasses. Full reading glasses are suitable for people who spend a great deal of time concentrating on material close-up. If you try to look up and across the room through the reading lenses, everything appears blurry. Luckily, we have a line of bifocal glasses in a number of powers; from 1.0 bifocal safety glasses all the way to 3.0 lenses, we have you covered.
ATENTION: Ready-to-wear non-prescription safety glasses with bifocal lenses are not intended to replace prescribed corrective lenses or examinations by an eyecare professional. Regular eye check-ups by a qualified professional are necessary to determine your eye health status and vision needs.
