Many people who have great daytime vision can have difficulties seeing road signs, street lights, and the lines on the road at night. Needing glasses to see better at night is not something that is uncommon. Anyone who has to wear glasses understands how the nonappearance of light makes it difficult to see. When you start to realize that you are struggling to see when it is dark, this is one of the first signs that you may need to have your vision corrected.

Many people will discover that they will only need to wear corrective lenses at night, just as some people only need to wear corrective lenses when they are reading. If you have trouble concentrating on the road because you are bothered by the glare of the headlights, we strongly suggest that you make an appointment with an eye doctor. If you have problems with reflections and glares, this could be a sign that you have a serious eye issue, such as cataracts. This may also be a sign that you have another medical issue.

When you make an appointment with your eye doctor and it has been determined that you do need night driving glasses, you should ask the optometrist about A/R coating. The anti-reflective coating will help reduce the glare that you are seeing when you stare at the oncoming headlights.

If you feel that you need to wear corrective lenses due to your inability to see clearly at night, we suggest that you make an appointment as soon as possible. Contact us today for more information on night driving glasses.
