Phillips 202 ACE Model 208 Silver Lampworking Glasses

Phillips 202 ACE Model 208 Silver Lampworking Glasses for Flameworking

At VS Eyewear, we offer specialized optical protection designed specifically for flame artists and glassworkers. The Phillips 202 ACE (Amethyst Contrast Enhancer) Lampworking Glasses feature high-grade optical filter lenses engineered to filter out blinding sodium flare—the bright yellow light emitted when heating glass under a torch. By attenuating this harsh flare, ACE lenses allow lampworkers to look directly through the flame, providing crystal-clear visibility of the glass viscosity, heat flow, and precise color changes without visual interference or excessive eye fatigue.

Beyond sodium flare reduction, Phillips 202 ACE lenses significantly boost color contrast and offer comprehensive protection against harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation generated during torchwork. Lightweight yet highly durable, these lenses are mounted in comfortable, ergonomic safety frames that can be worn during extended studio sessions. Certified for occupational high-impact safety, the Phillips 202 ACE series at VS Eyewear is also available with custom prescription fitting, ensuring that artists receive the precise visual acuity and certified protection needed for detailed flame-working crafts.
