Description
The BoroTruView Lampworking Glasses #901 is a classic wrap around safety frame made of high impact resistant plastic. This frame features padded inner foam to keep wind and debris from getting inside the glasses as well as a removable strap to keep the glasses tight on your face. These glasses are ANSI Z87.1+ Approved.
The BoroTruView Lampworking Glasses #901 shade 3.0 lenses are made for the true lampworking artist. These lenses are specially formulated to offer excellent color recognition when working with colored glass while still providing UV, IR and Sodium Flare protection. The gray IR filter is color neutral so you can easily see the different colors of the glass and the heat being applied. These revolutionary polycarbonate filter lenses are much lighter than conventional laminated and glass products. If you are working with smaller pieces the BoroTruView 3.0 is for you.

Lampworking is a type of glasswork in which a torch or lamp is used to melt the glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. It is also known as flameworking or torchworking, as the modern practice no longer uses oil-fueled lamps.
