Description

Lampworking glasses Model 66 comes with temple bars that are fully adjustable, ratcheting up and down and telescoping for a perfect fit. These lampworking glasses in model 66 have a large lens design ensures maximum safety and visibility.

This polycarbonate is very efficient in filtering sodium flare in addition to providing good ultraviolet protection.  It is very comfortable for viewing under high ambient light conditions such as when working with glowing heat sources for a duration of time. Also, although it has a relatively low luminous transmission of 38%, it is not recommended for glassworking where Infrared protection is needed.  This filter is more for soft glass usage

Lampworking is a type of glasswork in which a torch or lamp is used to melt the glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. It is also known as flameworking or torchworking, as the modern practice no longer uses oil-fueled lamps.
